Magadh Foundation forms its district committee in Salem on April 12, 2023. The Salem District Committee was formed with the approval of the founder and current president of the Magadh Foundation, Mr. KN Tripathi, a former minister of Jharkhand, in the presence of Mr. Venkatesh Ramaraj, Central Committee Member, State Convenor of Tamilnadu, and Incharge of Membership for South India, along with Mr. Dharmesh Tanna, Mrs. Bijoya Tanna, Mr. B.S. Sivaraj, Ms. Dilara Khan, Mr. Namo Govindan, Mr. Tarun Kashyap, Mr. Arul, Mrs. Binal Batavia and Ms. Subhashini Reddy. Over 25 residents of the Salem District joined and became members of the foundation, which formed this committee. Dr. S. Gunasekaran was appointed as the president of the committee. Other members of the committee present were Mr. Nagendran, Mr. Obuli, Mr. Soundappan, Mr. Nanjundeswaran, Mr. Gunasekaran (Dist Congress Vice Chairman), Mr. Perumal N, Mr. Jeganathan, Ms. Latha M, Ms. Selvi N, Mr. Obuli Raj S, Mr. Nagendran K, Mr. Dhanasekar K, Mr. Rangasamy P, Mr. S P Natraj, Mr. A R Thanarishwaran, Mr. Manogaran, Mr. D S Kumar, Mr. Soundappan, Mr. Vasanth, Mr. Ramadhash, Mr. Radhakrishnan and Mr. Sadhesh. The postings for all the members of the Salem committee have already been assigned. “We are scheduled to form more committees in the other districts of Tamilnadu this month. A free orthopaedic check-up camp with the distribution of medicines at no cost is scheduled for April 30, 2023, for the neediest residents of the North Chennai area. Our Kanyakumari committee is planning to conduct a free eye camp at Nagercoil this month”, Venkatesh said. “There are many silk handloom weavers in the Mecheri area of Salem District who are struggling to avail loans under the Mudra loan scheme. Our priority will be to facilitate this community getting a loan,”, Dr. S. Gunasekaran said.
